In Lize, Su’ao, Yilan, KILIBAY was developed around the principles of sustainability, ecological conservation, energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and harmony with the natural environment. By integrating local resources and working with fishermen, farmers, farmers’ associations, local communities, colleges, and universities, the project took two years to plan and six years to build — ultimately creating a building designed to “breathe” with its surroundings.
